POSITION SUMMARY

Overall responsibility for managing the local IT service delivery and business relationship teams including 4 Employees and 6 Contractors in North Dakota. As part of the North Dakota leadership team the role will be responsible for acting as a conduit between the business unit and central IT Identifying and understanding business needs and problems that can be addressed with current or new technology solutions. Ensuring that these opportunities are prioritized and aligned with the overall business goals while also meeting the needs of the IT strategy and standards.

The role will ultimately be accountable for all IT service delivery for the North Dakota Asset ensuring that end user satisfaction expectations are met and that the appropriate performance measures are in place to maintain continued customer alignment.

The ideal candidate will have good business acumen and understanding of production operations and a proficiency for establishing effective relationships within Asset Business functions and with IT Central Services Team to enable them to represent Asset needs and champion efforts driven from center. The role requires approximately 25% business travel, with the majority being to Houston, Texas.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Relationship Management

  • Represent the needs of the Asset to technical planning groups in IT, and likewise, to represent the needs of IT to the business Asset

  • Consult with business unit and review IT usage, services, technology, and department specific projects in order to identify, forecast and develop IT needs

  • Serve as liaison with the Information Technology (IT) department and management in the Asset to identify, forecast and address IT needs.

Service Delivery & Quality

  • Responsible for end-to-end service quality within the Asset, working with Central team to ensure that services are meeting or exceeding expectations

  • Manage relationships with IT, business units and vendors during negotiations and evaluations to identify potential issues and risks

  • Coordinate the use and delivery of IT services throughout the Asset

  • Ability to adjust for a wide array of audiences ranging from Senior IT Leadership to the operating VP’s and their staffs.

  • Listening to and understanding each audience's vantage point, then adapting data and information delivery to them and the IT organization.

  • The ability to communicate and advocate an IT point of view to both technical and business constituencies.

Financials

  • Working understanding of financial budgeting, forecasting and analysis.

Education, Certifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management or related field of study; or related professional experience

  • Experience with working with Information Technology including project management and business analysis

  • Experienced using organizational change management to ensure initiative delivery is sustainable.

  • 8+ years Industry experience either in IT or Operations.

  • 3+ years Supervisory/Management experience preferred.

  • SAP experience preferred either as a power user or deployment team member.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred but not required.
